To address the extremely thick coal seam mining at home and abroad, ZMJ (Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd.) with the reputation of “The First Brand in Coal Mining Machinery Industry in China”, planned to develop the extra-high hydraulic support higher than 8 meters then. Weighing the pros and cons, ZMJ cancelled the plan to develop the new product with the imported steel pipe, instead, it awarded all orders amounting to nearly 2000 tons of steel pipes to HYST.
To ensure the properties of strength, toughness, corrosion resistance and impact resistance of the steel pipe can meet the customer’s requirements, HYST strictly controlled all the relevant production processes and finally succeeded in producing the hydraulic support pipe of extra-large diameter with yield strength up to 890MPa.
It’s worth mentioning that the feature Water Dragon in Coal Sea——the first episode of Super Coal Mining broadcast on CCTV, displayed the 8.8-meter-high super mining device manufactured with the high-end steel pipe supplied by HYST.
Moreover, HYST conquered the “white dot” problem on the cold-drawn oil cylinder pipe that has plagued the industry for years. Hence, the oil cylinder series pipe, manufactured by HYST, won the approval of Caterpillar——the world’s largest manufacturer of engineering machinery and mine equipment, marking the admittance to the world’s top mechanical processing pipe market.
Boom Pipe Thrives
Making the most of the advantages of the profound technological accumulation, ultra-pure steel smelting technology, precise heat treatment and rolling technologies, HYST developed BJ890 crane boom pipe with high strength, which has been applied in the crawler crane with the maximum tonnage: 4500 tons. The crane boom pipe manufactured by HYST, with good quality and performance, has won the praise and recognition from XCMG (Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd.), Zoomlion (Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd.), Liugong (Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd.) and other crane manufacturers.
In January of 2019, the boom pipe won “Gold Cup Prize of Metallurgical Product Quality" of 2018. The market share of the rotary drilling pipe of HYST gradually increased, and now the share has reached above 50%.
